Oakley View is a warm and welcoming bed & breakfast set in a superb location in Goathland and enjoying a peaceful setting enjoying spectacular view of the surrounding countryside. We are located 2 minutes walk away from the heart of the village and within walking distance of the idyllic hamlets of Darnholm and Beck Hole.

We can offer guests stylish and luxurious accommodation which includes private parking, garden area and seating for enjoying those views, your very own private entrance which leads into generously sized accommodation including lobby, bedroom, lounge and en-suite bathroom as well as the use of an airy and bright conservatory overlooking the rear garden and the dramatic moorland behind.

At Oakley View we believe that breakfast is the most important part of the day and we aim to offer something to suit every appetite. We offer cereals, toast, fruit salad and yoghurt as standard and guests can then select from our cooked breakfast menu which caters for vegetarian tastes too or opt for our continental option which includes croissants and pastries.

Goathland sits in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors in the beautiful Esk valley filled with woodland, rivers and waterfalls and offers spectacular walking and mountain biking routes to suit novices and experts alike. The famous and spectacular North York Moors Railway is located in the village and connects to Grosmont, Whitby & Pickering from Goathland station.

The TV series ‘Heartbeat’ was filmed in and around the village for many years and visitors can call in at ‘Scripps Garage’ and the ‘Aidensfield Arms’. Other nearby attractions within short driving distance is the beautiful seaside town of Whitby; the picturesque fishing villages of Robin Hoods Bay, Runswick Bay and Staithes; Dalby and Cropton Forests and much more.
